Calendar & SchedulingiCal Integration

iCal Integration

Export your pet's schedule to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or any iCal-compatible app.

Your Pet's Schedule, Everywhere

With iCal integration, your pet's calendar events show up right alongside your personal schedule — meetings, pet medications, dinner plans, all in one view.

iCal integration is a Premium feature. See Plans & Pricing for details on upgrading.

How It Works

MoaTails generates a unique iCal feed URL for your account. You add this URL to your calendar app as a subscription, and your pet's events appear automatically.

The feed is read-only — your calendar app displays the events, but changes are always made in MoaTails. This keeps your pet's data as the single source of truth.

Moa the capybara

Your pet's medication schedule, right next to your morning standup. Now you'll never have to choose between checking MoaTails and checking your calendar — they're the same thing!

Setting Up iCal Feeds

  1. Go to Settings > iCal Feeds in MoaTails

  2. Your unique feed URL is automatically generated

  3. Choose which pets to include in your feed — you can toggle each pet on or off

  4. Copy the feed URL

Adding to Google Calendar

  1. Open Google Calendar on your computer

  2. Click the + next to "Other calendars"

  3. Select From URL

  4. Paste your MoaTails feed URL

  5. Click Add calendar

Adding to Apple Calendar

  1. Open Calendar on your Mac or iPhone

  2. Go to File > New Calendar Subscription (Mac) or Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar (iPhone)

  3. Paste your MoaTails feed URL

  4. Click Subscribe

Per-Pet Feed Control

You don't have to see every pet's schedule in your personal calendar. Toggle individual pets on or off in the iCal settings:

  • Include your senior dog's medication schedule (important to see daily)

  • Exclude your cat's water tracking (you've got that routine down)

Regenerating Your Feed

If you ever need a fresh feed URL (for example, if you accidentally shared it), you can regenerate your token in Settings. This invalidates the old URL and creates a new one — any calendar app using the old URL will stop updating.

What Shows Up

Your iCal feed includes all calendar events for the pets you've selected — medications, appointments, activities, meals, and more. Each event includes the pet's name, event type, and any relevant details.
