What You Can Store
Upload any file that's important to your pet's care:
Vaccination records — Proof of rabies, distemper, bordetella, and others
Prescriptions — Medication details, dosage info, and refill reminders
Insurance documents — Policy numbers and coverage details
Vet records — Lab results, surgery reports, dental records
Adoption papers — Keep the originals safe
Training certificates — Obedience school, therapy pet certifications
Microchip registration — Link it to your pet's profile for quick reference
Uploading Documents
To add a document to your pet's profile:
Navigate to your pet's Documents tab
Tap the add button
Choose a file from your device — PDFs and images are both supported
Add a title and description to keep things organized
Viewing Documents
MoaTails includes built-in viewers so you don't need to leave the app:
PDF viewer — Browse multi-page documents right inside the app
Image viewer — Zoom, pan, and view photos of records or certificates
Linking Documents to Calendar Events
One of the most useful features: you can attach documents to calendar events. This creates a direct connection between a record and the care it relates to.
Examples:
Link a prescription PDF to your pet's daily Medication event
Attach lab results to a Vet Appointment event
Connect a vaccination certificate to a Vaccination event
This way, when you're reviewing a calendar event, the related document is just a tap away.
Storage Limits
Storage space depends on your plan:

Running low on space? PDFs of vet records are typically small (under 1MB each). Even the free plan can hold a lot of documents. Photos tend to be larger, so consider uploading scanned PDFs when possible.
Offline Access
All your documents are stored locally on your device and available offline. Whether you're at a vet clinic with no WiFi or traveling with your pet, your documents are always accessible.
Documents sync automatically to the cloud when you're back online, keeping everything backed up and available across your devices and to your care team.
